Who is Be Lulu Strong?

Be Lulu Strong began with my sister, Lulu, whose journey through cancer has been marked by extraordinary strength and resilience. For over two years, she has endured numerous surgeries, celebrated the end of cancer, and faced the lasting challenges it left behind—and still she charges forward with courage and grace.
This art is inspired by her. Each nature portrait begins with a quiet walk: I gather leaves and flowers, arrange them into a short-lived design, and capture the moment in a photograph before nature reclaims it.
These transitory portraits reflect Lulu's journey—and mine. They are reminders to hold life loosely, to see beauty in impermanence, and to find strength in the moment. I send these images to Lulu to brighten her day.
Even in her post-cancer battle from the treatment damage, Lulu gives. She carries small heart pendants and hands them to every caregiver she meets. Over 1,000 "Lulu" hearts have been shared. I incorporate one of these Lulu hearts into each portrait as a symbol of hope, gratitude and the power of perseverance.
I am honored to donate proceeds from Be Lulu Strong to women in need. Through this art—and through Lulu's example—we celebrate quiet strength, fleeting beauty, and the bonds that carry us forward.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
